AfterSchool Indy: Report Card 2016-2017
During the 2016-17 school year, Classical Music Indy brought free music education to 1,334 kids through our AfterSchool Indy program.
Students learned how to read music by explaining the parts of a musical staff.

We demonstrated the connections between music and other subjects – Math, Language Arts, History, Visual Art, and Science.

And with our youngest preschool students, we showed them how orchestral instruments work and what makes each instrument unique.
The professional musicians that perform for AfterSchool Indy played music ranging from Baroque to Classical to Romantic to Modern.
Thanks to our partners Christel House Academy West, Christamore House, Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, and Head Start for a great year. We already can’t wait for next school year!
