LOCAL CLASSICAL – PRIDE MONTH

June 27, 2022

Local Classical Featured Playlist – 06/27/22 – 07/10/22

In this week’s playlist, we continue our celebrations in honor of Pride Month. This week we feature guest curator and local LGBTQ+ activist, Chris Douglas. He is a founding partner and managing director of C.H. Douglas and Gray Wealth Management. An eighth-generation Hoosier, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs and his Master’s in Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He was decorated for his service as an officer in the US Air Force and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Chris has been named by Indianapolis Monthly to its “Best of Indy” list in the area of financial planning, by the Indianapolis Business Journal to its “Forty under 40” list of influential people in business, and to the Indiana Leadership Forum.

Chris is a lover of classical music and has always been an advocate for the arts. He has been a past president of the Board of Trustees and current member of the Board of Advisors of Dance Kaleidoscope, Indiana’s premier professional contemporary dance company. He also serves on the Finance Committees of the Indiana Historical Society, one of the United States’ oldest and largest historical societies; of the Columbia Club; and of Trinity Haven, which provides transitional housing to homeless LGBT Youth. He is a member of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Indiana Advisory Committee to the US Commission on Civil Rights and on the United States Air Force Academy Nominations Review Board. In 2019 he was named Community Leader of the Year by the Indy Rainbow Chamber of Commerce.
