New Classical – Peck Expansion Highlights

August 3, 2020

New Classical Featured Artists – 8/3/30-8/16/20

Classical Music Indy recently expanded our Peck Classical Music Library to include significant holdings of underrepresented artists, including women composers and musicians of color. These new recordings will be featured in our programming year-round, but for the month of August, we are excited to stream highlights from these new library items.

To begin our highlights series, this week we bring you music composed, performed, and conducted by women. Connect with our New Classical channel to hear their amazing talent.

Classical Music Indy aims to build the best classical music library of sound recordings among the Midwest region’s arts & culture institutions. Have a suggestion of an artist you haven’t heard on our streaming service? Write to us me at [email protected].

The Peck Classical Music Library expansion was made possible by Lilly Endowment Inc.

Classical Music Indy asked Dr. Miranda George, a trumpet player, vocalist, and teacher who has lectured and written about performance anxiety, to write a three part series on the topic. In this second article of her three part series, Dr. George explains key strategies that sufferers from stage fright can implement to keep them on track.
