In collaboration with the Ronen Chamber Ensemble, this week we feature violinist Pavel Berman. Berman won the 1990 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis and serves as guest artist with the Ronen Chamber Ensemble in their performance at the Glick Indiana History Center. Born in Moscow, Berman studied at the Tchaikovsky conservatory before moving to New York in 1992 to continue his studies at Julliard. Berman currently teaches at the Conservatory of Southern Switzerland and the Academy Lorenzo Perosi in Biella, Italy. He is also a Master Teacher for iClassical Academy, where he has recorded “Paganini Unlocked,” a series of online instructional videos about all of Paganini’s 24 Caprices.
Connect with CMI Streaming’s Local Classical channel this week for several recordings by Pavel Berman as well as other Indiana artists.
