Explore Indy’s classical music scene with 10 site-specific video performances.
Looking to watch terrific music performances while visiting different Indianapolis cultural sites? Then experience CMI City Sounds, a project of Classical Music Indy (CMI), supported by the Indy Arts and Culture Restart & Resilience Fund: An Arts Council of Indianapolis program made possible by Lilly Endowment Inc. CMI selected 10 Indianapolis sites and brought musicians to perform in them by creating pre-recorded performance videos, which can be accessed by scannable QR codes that are found on site. Four of the 10 places feature original compositions written by local composers: Eliza Brown, Frank Felice, Eric Salazar, and Jared Thompson. From the beauty of Garfield Park’s Sunken Gardens to the bustling of Lugar Plaza, CMI City Sounds gives community members a unique way to celebrate our city’s artistic talent and interact with the wonderful spaces of Indy.
