Explore Indy’s classical music scene with 10 site-specific video performances.
Looking to watch inspiring music performances while visiting different Indianapolis cultural sites? Then experience CMI City Sounds, a project of Classical Music Indy (CMI), supported by the Indy Arts and Culture Restart & Resilience Fund: An Arts Council of Indianapolis program made possible by Lilly Endowment Inc. CMI collaborated with 10 Indianapolis sites to encourage visitors to listen to the city in new ways. Visitors access these music video performances via QR codes found at each site. Four of the 10 sites feature original compositions written by local composers: Eliza Brown, Frank Felice, Eric Salazar, and Jared Thompson. From the beauty of Garfield Park’s Sunken Gardens to the bustling of Lugar Plaza, CMI City Sounds gives local composers and performers the opportunity not only to leave a mark on listeners as individuals but also on the community as a whole.
