Classical Music Month in Review, 2017
For Classical Music Month, Classical Music Indy pulled out all of the stops to bring music to the community of Indianapolis!
We held Meet the Voice on September 7, with our partner Oasis Indianapolis, where senior citizens were able to meet Classical Music Indy’s very own radio host, Michael Toulouse. Attendees discussed how we produce radio programming, favorite pieces and musical genres, and how to tune-in via HD Radio and online streaming.
We took our #RandomActsofMusic to the next level with our Classical Stroll on September 16, a day-long performance event on the Canal Walk.
We performed at different locations along the canal for 6 hours with our violinists Shaina Pan and Kah Yan Lee.
Our community programs served 3,016 people in September, which is 2,182 more people than last year’s Classical Music Month!
Our radio programming brought classical music to more than 376,000 listeners across Indiana in the month of September!
We shared music with over 379,000 people during Classical Music Month. We hope you’ll celebrate with us again next year!
Your generous support keeps us on the radio and bringing live music to the community! Please consider a tax-deductible donation to Classical Music Indy. Donate here. Thank you!
