New Classical Featured Playlist – 03/13/23 – 03/26/23
Well, the Oscars just happened, did your favorites win? Did your favorite film score win? Nevertheless, this week we celebrate with lots of music from the big screen with the help of Greg Sorvig, Artistic Director of Heartland Film. Greg leads the organization’s artistic vision and film programming department including its Academy Award-qualifying Indy Shorts International Film Festival and Heartland International Film Festival events, serving as the organization’s liaison with major studios, industry, and filmmakers.
We’ll hear from Greg as he and host Salvador discuss all things to do with Heartland Film, its history, upcoming events, and much more. We’ll listen to selections Greg helped curate for the playlist with music by John Williams, Michael Giacchino, and Randy Newman, to name a few. There will be lots of film music to be enjoyed by all, so tune in to Classical Music Indy Streaming’s New Classical channel to hear all about Heartland Film and film music.
