Elizabeth Frickey is currently an M.A. student in musicology at IU Jacobs School of Music. Prior to her studies at IU, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education from Florida State University. Her current research interests include ecomusicology, gendered performance practices of blues and hip-hop, and electronic music. She also has a strong passion for public music scholarship – a passion that she’s excited to share here at Classical Music Indy! When she isn’t reading, writing, or talking about music, Elizabeth spends her time teaching yoga classes at the IU Recreation Center, dusting off her clarinet to play chamber music, and attempting to look cool while roller-skating around Bloomington.
