Music Library Intern
Classical Music Indy’s music library intern Anna Hinkley is in her last semester of studies at Indiana University, where she is pursuing a double masters in library science and musicology. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Eastern Michigan University, where she studied classical trombone with Dr. Donald Babcock. As CMI’s music library intern, Anna works with the Peck Classical Music Library collections.
In library science, Anna specializes in music cataloging. Most of her work for the Latin American Music Center at Indiana University involves cataloging and processing scores from Latin American composers. She was a 2018 Archival Fellow at the Rutgers Jazz Archive, where she assisted in processing the Bill Hughes Collection. Her musicology research focuses on jazz and Latin American music, with a secondary interest in Renaissance music.
