Music Archivist Intern
Kate Hamori is a senior at the University of Indianapolis, where she is wrapping up her studies in music. While at UIndy, she has studied piano and voice in addition to completing several independent musicological research projects. Kate has also taken an interest in several local music libraries, including the UIndy Choral Library, the Second Presbyterian Church Music Library, and now the archives at Classical Music Indy.
Next year, Kate will begin graduate studies at Indiana University, where she will pursue an MA in musicology. Her research interests include children’s music, musical topics, gender relationships in music, and the use of dolls in programmatic music (particularly in early 20th century France). When she’s not studying or practicing, Kate enjoys spending time with her friends, sitting down with a good book, and playing with her cat, Hildegard.
